Metso Denmark – Waste Recycling has roots 150 years back. Today we are producing shredders for waste handling worldwide. We design produce and provide exceptionally robust stationary and mobile waste shredding equipment for both pre- and fine shredding. Our products apply for applications as diverse as Recycling Biomass RDF Lines Waste-to-Energy Landfill In-house Recycling MBT Plants and Transfer Stations.

Our aim is to strengthen and expand our leading market positions in order to achieve faster-than-market growth. To support this development we are giving a higher focus to market Intelligence to support strategic decisions.


Problem Statement

We want to design a generic model for competitor analysis and market development. Your analysis should identify key indicators that would support our strategic decisions. Some of the key indicators might be: legislation financing decision makers customers timing sales channels waste volumes competitors market stage etc.

Once the key indicators are identified we are interested in finding the most efficient way of gathering required data validating and analyzing it.

Additionally you will support the business by generating specific competitor analysis and market intelligence studies.

Finally your results should be implemented in the sales organization and your developed model will greatly improve and support strategic decisions.


Starting from scratch you will have a great opportunity to work on a completely new project and show how to take theory into practice. Our organization in Horsens is relatively immature regarding using Market intelligence data which gives you a unique opportunity to have high level of independency flexibility and most importantly - influence to our company and your project.

We are looking for student with a relevant background and great interest in market intelligence. We expect you to be capable of working independently and speak English (Danish language knowledge will be an advantage to work in the organization but it is not a prerequisite)

We are very flexible on the working terms. The project development does not require a meeting at the office more than 3-4 times a month. That being said using the office for every day work is also an option.

The applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis and we will close the ad once the right candidate is found.
